Our cover depicts a picture of beautiful chromosomes, knitted by our former PhD student Ewa Piskadlo. Ewa joined her passion for creative knitting, with her interest in science communication and produced these wonderful pieces that we still use in the lab, every time we need to explain how mitosis takes place. She also used them in the "paper video" produced by the IGC Outreach team about Ewa's paper on how condensins guide topoisomerase 2 action (link to paper):
